The AnyTone AT-5100 is a high-performance mobile and base station transceiver engineered specifically for the 10-meter amateur radio band (28.000 to 29.700 MHz). Operating across all primary analog modulation modes (AM, FM, USB, LSB, CW, and PA), it delivers a solid, adjustable RF power output of up to 30 W in FM, 30 W PEP in SSB, and 10 W (with 35 W PEP peaks) in AM, supported by a heavy-duty chassis with an efficient rear cooling heatsink.

Designed for clear and precise operation both inside a vehicle and at the base station ham shack, the AT-5100 features a high-contrast LCD display with adjustable brightness and 7 user-selectable backlight colors (white, red, green, blue, cyan, purple, and yellow). To ensure intelligible reception in noisy environments, it integrates Noise Blanker (NB), Automatic Noise Limiter (ANL), Hi-Cut filtering, and an active digital NRC noise reduction processor adjustable across 5 levels on both receive and transmit paths. Furthermore, it incorporates digital signal, RF power, and SWR metering on the display, continuous VFO tuning, and an independent multi-mode Clarifier with separate RX and TX frequency offsets.

Key Advantages

  • Full Multi-Mode Capability: Complete transmit and receive support across AM, FM, Single Sideband (USB/LSB), CW Morse Code, and Public Address (PA).
  • High RF Output Power: Up to 30 W in FM, 30 W PEP in SSB, and 10 W (35 W PEP) in AM backed by an oversized thermal heat sink.
  • Digital NRC Processing & Audio Filters: Built-in NB/ANL, Hi-Cut, and 5-level digital noise reduction (NRC) circuits to clean voice audio from background static and interference.
  • Active Circuit Protections: Automatic high SWR antenna protection and DC over-voltage cutoff safeguard internal components.
  • Visual & Operational Customization: 7-color selectable backlit display, integrated echo function, programmable Roger Beep, and Dual Watch (DW) monitoring.

Recommended Applications

Mobile Vehicle Communications

Its standard dashboard form factor and handheld microphone equipped with UP/DN frequency buttons ensure comfortable, accessible control in cars, 4x4s, or campervans.

Amateur Radio Base Station (Ham Shack)

Powered by a 13.8 VDC regulated power supply, it excels as a desktop rig with fine VFO steps, channel memory management, an SSB Clarifier, and a rear CW key terminal.

10-Meter DX Long-Distance Contacts

Harnesses 28 MHz ionospheric openings with the high efficiency and clarity of Single Sideband (SSB) paired with sensitive RF reception.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this equipment require an operating licence?

Yes. Because it is an amateur radio transceiver transmitting within the 10-meter band (28.000–29.700 MHz) with power levels up to 30 W, a valid amateur radio operator licence is legally required to transmit.

What are the power supply requirements?

It operates on a nominal 13.8 VDC supply. In a vehicle, wire it directly to the 12 V battery using the fused DC cable supplied. For base shack setups, connect it to a regulated 13.8 VDC power supply capable of delivering 10 to 12 A continuously.

What type of antenna connector does it feature?

It includes a standard 50-ohm SO-239 (PL-259 compatible) female jack on the rear chassis. Connecting a properly resonant and tuned 10-meter antenna is essential to maintain safe, low SWR levels.
