The ICOM SM-50 is a large gooseneck microphone with a dynamic microphone capsule with a built-in amplifier. It fits all Icom transceivers with an 8-pin round connector (Foster connector), and with the additional OPC-589 cable adapter, also all Icom transceivers with an RJ-45 connector.
The ICOM SM-50 has a good-sized base, which provides secure support on the table. On the base there are buttons for ‘Low Cut’, PTT and PTT lock, as well as Up and Down buttons (UP/DOWN), the function depends on the transceiver. The microphone is very flexible, adjustable in tilt and height via the gooseneck, the straight connection cable of approximately 1 m in length is included.
