The ICOM IC-F2100D is a professional walkie talkie with a compact and rugged design, operating on UHF Digital NXDN with a wide range of features. It is water and dust resistant with an IP67 protection rating, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Its robust construction prevents the ingress of dust, sand, mud, etc.
ICOM has enhanced the safety features of the IC-F2100D by incorporating a motion sensor that detects its position, movement, and stillness, allowing it to send a signal in emergency situations. The motion function detects if the transceiver is moving or shaking, for example during a chase. It also allows programming of the lone worker and man down functions.
The large 36mm speaker delivers a 1500 mW speaker output, and the BTL amplifier doubles the audio output power, providing loud and intelligible voice sound for radio operators working in noisy environments. In addition to clear communication, the IC-F2100D offers secure communications thanks to voice inversion encryption with up to 16 selectable codes.
