The Garmin Alpha 50 EU, is the new generation of handunit for tracking hunting dogs.

With faster location updates in 2.5 seconds and the ability to monitor up to 20 dogs1 Alpha 50 new-generation handsets for canine tracking skallavkänning. The handset Alpha 50 is intuitive, easy to use and features a clear 2.6-inch color screen, a battery with internal charger (optional), geofences and hunting information data that helps to analyze the dog’s tracking behavior on the field so that you learn to work more efficiently . Alpha 50 can be used with other Alpha 50 and Alpha 100 units for simultaneously tracking dog collar.

Note When the dog collar is configured for use with Alpha drives, they can not be tracked simultaneously by Astro 320th

Track with hunting information data

With advanced search information, you can monitor the dog’s hunting patterns and behavior to optimize training. You can see the dog’s time, distance traveled and total. In addition, records Alpha 50 how many times during the race an event when the dog is the “provision” or “residual” stated.

Alpha 50 has a microSD ™ card slot so you can load even more mapping options, such as topographical or BirdsEye Select maps (sold separately). You can also use City Navigator® NT that gives you guidance turn by turn in the road. In addition, the Alpha 50 features birdseye satellite imagery (1 year free subscription included), so you can download satellite images to your device and integrate them into your maps. The map function in Alpha shows important geographical features in the vicinity and allows you to see if your dog has crossed a river or approaching a dangerous road. Alpha 50 is also compatible with Garmin Cusom Maps, a free software that transforms paper and electronic maps into downloadable maps for your device.

Share wirelessly

With an expanded system with wireless connectivity, Alpha 50 functions for data transmission from device to device for a variety of compatible Garmin devices. For example, Garmin Drive Track ™ 70LM GPS receive and display canine positions on the moving map – with topographical or satellite views – and display navigation tips for the dog’s current location. Similarly, the clocks fēnix® 3 and tactix Bravo receive dog status updates and notifications, so you get a quick overview on your wrist. Out on the hunt, you can with Alpha 50 link and share dog information wirelessly to your friend’s compatible ANT + ® enabled devices for better coordination.

Count your flocks

Once you have captured the change, select the exact location of Alpha’s Covey Counter ™, a special waypoint that show the exact location, the current time and altitude where the prey was found, and the number of birds you drove up and took on the spot. With Alpha, you can save other special waypoints, such as a truck or hunting lodge, so you can easily return to these sites after the hunt. Alpha also has special waypoint icons to represent food places, trees passports and other hunting-related points.

Make sure that each trip is counted

Plan for a more productive hunting trip with the program BaseCamp ™, where you can view and organize maps, waypoints, routes and tracks. With this free application for travel planning, you can even create your Garmin adventure that you can share with friends, family and other dog tracker. BaseCamp displays topographic map data in 2D or 3D on the computer, including contour lines and elevation profiles. It can also transfer a large amount of satellite images to your device if you have the Alpha unit’s free subscription for 1 year on birdseye satellite imagery.

Turn your computer into a field control center for canine tracking

Charge your laptop with the Base Station software and turn it into a field control center for tracking multiple dogs (T 5 dog named). You can view GPS information in real time on the larger screen of the computer. Therefore, it is an ideal solution for rescue teams with dogs. And because it’s GPS / GLONASS-compliant, you tracking even where internet and mobile services are not available.

Rugged and waterproof, long-life

Like any outdoor products from Garmin Alpha 50 is designed to be efficient, easy to use, reliable and rugged enough to withstand all the knocks, bumps, wet and muddy conditions as training and hunting entails. The handset is waterproof to IPX7 and can be powered by standard AA batteries – or go on to have a NiMH rechargeable battery (optional) with a long life that is rechargeable in unit. If you ever lose or get rid of your Alpha 50 in the field, it is easy to find thanks to the highly visible orange case.

Use the included BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscription with BaseCamp to transfer an almost unlimited amount of high-resolution satellite images to the handheld device for 1-year.
